An Insider's Guide into the Hong Kong Art Scene
HOMELESS lifestye – Inspired creative design
Homeless is a unique lifestyle store selling an enormous variety of design items ranging from lamps and furniture to fun little home accessories that are perfect for gifts. The store is located on Gough Street in NoHo (North of Hollywood Road) – one of Central’s upcoming areas – and is the flagship store, but due to Homeless’ success, more branches have opened in Hong Kong over recent years.
Homeless has a vintage look and feel to it, even though everything is new. Items are displayed in a fun quirky way on walls, tables and shelves but there is some kind of order in the chaos. You can easily loose track of time whilst nosing around and examining the original designs.
There is really too much to describe, but just to name a few: they sell radios in the shape of a dog and little pins you can stick into a cork to make them into animals. Furthermore, they have hilarious doorstoppers, magnetic key holders, inspired book shelves and other furniture.
Visit their website www.homeless.hk or, even better, visit the store yourself at 29 Gough Street, Central (11.30-21.30 mon-sat, 12.00-18.00 sun).
